Shouldn't that be the "Britons" who the Romans were coming in on, not the "English"? You know, plaid clothing, swirly curves on the artwork?

I think I was referring to the people who came later to find these magical roads, after the Roman era was over. I’ve called them English because of the language, but of course we’re pretty mongrel now. I like to think I’m 40+ generations RomanoBritish!
